Lots of empirical and anecdotal evidence utilizing organ meat for optimum health. The kidney produces erythropoietin which is an important hormone stimulating bone marrow to produce red blood cells. Does it make sense to include kidney organ meat to promote optimum blood health? Erythopoietin is absorbed orally and is abundant in kidney organ meat. The amount of scientific evidence available about kidney organ meat is scarce whereas recombinant Erythropoietin sources from pharmaceutical companies are abundant. Making sense of scant science on Kidney organ meat and optimum blood health is the primary goal of today's podcast. I also discuss an unfortunate development of FDA regulation on organ meat and defining a natural product as a 'biologic' drug and thereby falling under the regulation of a political body rife with lobbyists and global pharmaceutical companies having a vested interest in shareholders and not consumers.
