There are many forms of anemia and today I discuss a article evaluating red blood cell membrane longevity and the effect of Rosa Canina powder. Anemia of Chronic Disease is a pervasive form of anemia with normal iron stores, normal appearing red blood cells under the microscope yet still having a low hemoglobin and hematocrit (normochromic normocytic anemia). Does Rose Hip have a potential role for optimum red blood cell longevity and might be utilized to improve Anemia of Chronic Disease? Today's podcast is the first in a series of clinical anemia.
