As a cognitive behavioral therapist I talk a great deal about how to help our kids by reframing their anxious thoughts and taking steps to do brave things. But I want to expand your child’s toolbox with other useful ways for them to calm their mind and body. The more diversified our children’s coping mechanisms, the better they will do long term!


In this week’s AT Parenting Survival Podcast I invited Kristi Fischer and Kelly Winkler to the show. They host the podcast Mindful Conversations with KAY (Kidding around Yoga).


In their podcast they talk about using research based tools and strategies to help increase mindfulness, self awareness, connection, self-regulation and peace in your home or classroom. As yoga instructors, prior educators and mom’s themselves, they are the perfect people to have on the show to help us build these skills with our children!
