During this podcast I'm joined by a Very Special Guest, Ms. Melat Tezera, who shares her journey and insights about going from instability to stability in a relatively short period of time. In particular, Melat shares her experiences about a crippling level of anxiety that got so bad that she could not drive. However, over the past year of being a client of mine, she's now back on the roads, uncovering and working through past traumas, becoming courageous, brave, strong and resilient, and has even started her own Design Firm, Melat Tezera Designs, which helps people, organizations, small businesses and companies achieve their goals through social media advertising and marketing strategies and campaigns. Specifically, Melat has worked with larged companies like Kroger and Comcast achieve their advertising and marketing goals. Melat can be reached through Instagram by the handle "melattezera" and by email at melattezeradesigns@gmail.com.

Definitely listen to the full podcast and gain insights through what she shares about her journey of building the mental muscles to overcome life challenges, and how she made the decision to choose a holistic approach at my practices after having gone to 18 physicians seeking solutions to her issues, and only having addictive prescriptions shoved in her face.

Stability Variables

Definition of Stability: the quality, state, or degree of being stable: such as. : the strength to stand or endure : firmness. : the property of a body that causes it when disturbed from a condition of equilibrium or steady motion to develop forces or moments that restore the original condition.

Emotional stability (the opposite of neuroticism) is a fundamental personality trait that has to do with being even-tempered, particularly in the face of challenges and threats.

Cumulative continuity principle

The generalization that personality attributes show increasing stability with age and experience.

Maturity principle

The generalization that personality attributes associated with the successful fulfillment of adult roles increase with age and experience.

Personal stability is a lifestyle characterized by appropriate and well-thought-out decisions, consistent behavior and moderate mood swings.

What gives life stability?

Stability means that you feel satisfied with what you have. You might want more, but you perceive your current situation to be OK, to be workable, to provide you comfort and satisfaction. It provides fulfillment. Consider the main areas of your life – your work, your relationships, and your current situation.

3 Traits of a Stable Person:

  1. An Anchor/Safe Harbor for self and others
  2. Consistent
  3. Well-rounded

Factors that bring about Stability:

  1. Health & Wellness
  2. Vocational Successes (and challenges)
  3. Financial Security
  4. Self-Care & Me- Time (Meditation, Retreats, Downtime)
  5. Healthy Friendships & Relationships
  6. Peace of Mind
  7. Resilience
  8. Recreational Activities, Hobbies & Interests
  9. Self-Worth, Self-Value, Self-Esteem, Self-Confidence, & Self-Awareness
  10. Insight
  11. Continued Growth, Maturity & Evolution
  12. New Experiences
