The Israelites were on the edge of the promised land, having wandered for 40 years, and now God was speaking to them again. Simon Manchester will be opening the magnificent book of Deuteronomy and showing its enduring and deep relevance to our lives now, as we stand on the edge of eternity.
Speaker: Simon Manchester
Simon served as a pastor from 1980 – 2020 and retired from St Thomas North Sydney after 30 years.
In that time he taught God’s Word in the local church as well as around Australia and overseas. He has spoken at Katoomba conferences, Keswick conventions and ministered to pastors in the UK and USA. His talks at St Thomas have been on Sydney radio for the past 15 years.
He currently works part-time at Moore College in Sydney as a mentor to students and continues his work with Cornhill Sydney helping students handle God’s Word.
He is married to Kathy and they have three adult children and one grandchild.

The Weekend Away is more like a family holiday, an opportunity to build memories, grow in God’s word and invest in relationships. Weekends away are also fast tracks for people who are brand new at church to feel like they belong. This is true for adults, and perhaps even more so for kids.
