This episode, business leader and author, Shivani Gupta shares a story about her life-changing trip to Nepal finding her true passion that changed the trajectory of her life.

Shivani talks about challenges that managers face balancing the need to support high performers with managing those not performing as well or who require attention.

The importance of mental health and well-being in the workplace is highlighted, and how organizations are starting to provide more support and resources for employees to manage stress and burnout.

In fact, exhaustion is a major issue for managers and leaders; organizations need to be aware of the impact this can have on engagement and retention.

Organizations can support their employees to maintain their personal resilience.

Shivani suggests providing tools and strategies for coping with stress, such as financial planning seminars or apps to help with sleep and rest.

The importance of managers being able to identify signs of mental health issues in their direct reports, such as constant fatigue or absenteeism, and having the skills to engage in conversations with employees and connect them with resources and support services, is highlighted.
