John on working on your craft everyday: "In sales, believe me, I have seen so many salespeople that actually did fine. They did good. But how good could they do if they really took it seriously and said, 'I'm gonna devote an hour a day to my craft. Studying, practicing, working with a colleague, trying to make my skills better so I'm ready to be the best salesperson I can be.'"

John on why you need to be making calls: "Your job is to constantly be talking to somebody about trying to find where the opportunities are. And if you're just looking at your computer, they're not gonna be coming to you."
