Simon Coles made the point that maybe it depends on whether you are working extra at your discretion or if the company expects you to clock out and continue working.
Rhonda Bompensa-Zimmerman had a manager expressly telling her NOT to work off the clock.
I didn't get to share during the conversation that I had the opposite experience. I had a boss in my early 20's who didn't want to me get overtime and also didn't want me to leave until the work was done.
Stewart Wiggins said early in the conversation that there really is no black and white answer and I agree. It is complicated.
If #quietquitting is doing only what is expected of you and what you are paid to do, but no more - why is that a problem?
