In this Aging GreatFULLy power-hour we go gratitude mode with a surprising twist in Stroke of Gratitude with our special guest all the way from Singapore, welcoming Aanandha Sharurajah, for a reflective, inspiring and educational conversation everyone will treasure.
Aanandha is the author of the just released book, Stroke of Gratitude: How to Find Truth, Love, and Happiness in Healing After Health Crisis. And he didn’t just write the book, he lived the experience and continues to every single day. He joins us to share a story of inspiration. A Journey of Grit; Moments of despair and times of great challenge. He knows what it feels like look back upon a life that once was and realize it won’t ever be the same again.
Aanandha joins us to share his story of overcoming unbelievable adversity but most of all how he chose to take what had happened to him and manifest it for the greater good not only in his own life but for the world at large.
In one moment, Aanandha Sharurajah was CEO of one of the largest wellness companies in Singapore. And in the next, his entire life was derailed by a life-threatening stroke. His life changed in an instant. And along with it, he found himself redefining what it meant to be happy and successful.
He discovered that the loss of independence and identity can be as debilitating as the diagnosis itself.
But he also learned that living an empowered life after a health crisis is possible—when you choose the path of self-discovery instead of self-pity.
He shares how a positive mindset paves the way to emerge stronger after loss and the transformative power of strong relationships. His sage wisdom echoes clearly why it’s important to heal from the heart, not just the mind. And he gives a simple blueprint to initiate the neuroplasticity of our brain by managing stress, enhancing movement and improving our diet – all valuable contributors to his personal journey of recovery. He also shares how alternative treatments, combined with therapy, made a significant impact towards his recovery.
He believes he survived this life-threatening stroke for a reason – to help others avoid what he has endured and be a voice for humanity. And he is passionate about stroke education and prevention. He shares the importance of sleep, diet, stress management and much more as well as stroke statistics that Aging Rebels will find surprising.
But you’ll really appreciate some other special words of wisdom that I won’t share here because we don’t want it all to be a spoiler. In the end, this episode is a must-listen for everyone! But especially anyone who finds themselves challenged in life. And in particular, anyone who may be facing a health crisis who may need some inspirational hand-holding to carry them through the next steps. Aanandha definitely reminds us that life isn’t about what happens to us, but how we handle what happens to us and furthermore, what we do with it once it does.
It is a lesson on life and a life lesson on living like no other. A reflective power-hour certain to help us all Age more GreatFULLy! To learn more about Aanandha Sharurajah and his inspiring work, purchase his book, also available on Amazon or ask for it at your favorite booksellers, visit him at www.StrokeofGratitude.com.
