Today, host Chef Carla Contreras is joined by Sarah Miramontes, the founder of Paca Botánica, to discuss her amazing brand story, how her soap is made, and her entrepreneurial journey.
After making soap with her mom one day on a whim, Sarah realized how the craft aligned with her passion for skincare and the potential to transform a hobby into a business! Through a lot of grit and good vibes, Paca Botánica was born. As a brand, Paca Botánica honors Aztec traditions in many ways. Sarah mindfully imbues her brand with cultural storytelling and celebration. She shares her beautiful method of creating the soaps, each of which she cuts by hand, her hand! Sarah also shares the manufacturing technique of the exfoliating towels, made according to ancient techniques from an agave plant.
