Episode Highlights
06:49 - A lot more younger buyers, millennials, Gen Z's are looking at new construction, not going into a home that is built in the 60s, 70s, even 1920s that need a lot of work, updates to multiple items such as galvanized piping and all that fun stuff. So, that is an option for that generation to go into their next home, and most of them probably already own a home. So that's going to create that inventory as well because they're going to sell their house that they bought.
17:01 - A lot of things changing for the good, interest rates kind of leveling out, and I think even more homes will be sold next year. A lot of people think that, 2023-2024, we're kind of down, and we're kind of going to go back up. The estimated number of homes sold for 2024 was 4.6 million. And I think to expect 5.2 million in 2025 because more people coming back, interest rates are leveling out, and being able to have normalized expectations as far as what's going to happen.
27:20 - The town of Brookfield, all of Brookfield really, is very business-focused. There is a lot of business travel in the area. We're really close to Madison. We're minutes away from Milwaukee. So Brookfield is kind of a hub for business travelers to come to, so that it's easy to get to the other locations. So we definitely needed the two new hotels. It's a no-brainer. And then we've seen a big surge in people moving to the area. People love Brookfield. It's a great community. And people are really liking the apartment living. There's no upkeep. There's no shoveling. None of that.
