The Future of Hunting with Richard Von Furstenberg!
Manage episode 303580173 series 2924505
Today's episode I sit down with Richard von Furstenberg of NC State University and talk about their Academics Afield program. This program is designed to introduce new hunters to the sport by helping college age students find their path as a new hunter. We talk about hunter decline, conservation, the new face of hunting and much much more.
We as hunters need to do more to introduce new hunters to the sport so it will stay alive, not just for our tradition, but for conservation as well. It is up to us to show the younger generation why it is important and why it matters.
If you would like to help contribute to the cause and help keep our tradition alive, please reach out to Rich, Breanna, or myself at the contacts below. We would love to hear from you.
