Wow PropTech, Those Are Some Impressive Numbers!

I can’t believe season 6 is over! I have been out in the US, finally getting the chance to meet many of our clients overseas and taking the opportunity to build on new relationships we have made from a distance in the last year. I had the honour of attending Blueprint, and now I am heading to CREtech New York. So if you are listening to this and will be there - get in touch! I want to see as many of you before I head back to the UK!

My time over here (due to the fact I had to spend 2 weeks in Mexico before being allowed into the US - which i promise has been spent working, not just drinking margaritas on the beach) has given me some time to reflect. I have been looking back over the last six seasons of The Propcast but also reflecting on the last couple years LMRE has had as a business.

The Proptech market received a staggering 9.7bn dollars of VC investment in the first 6 months of 2021 and the pace of the market is not slowing down.

At LMRE we are proud to have reached some record numbers of our own.

Over the last 12 months we have firmly established ourselves as the No1 global talent management provider within Real Estate tech and innovation.

Along with our existing US, UK and European teams we have opened an office in Berlin,, set up our global Tech team as well as a dedicated research function to support our strategic and C suite hires.

We are also in the early stages of launching LMRE in the APAC region which will enable us to offer a truly global talent management solution to all of our clients.

Now it is not only us who have seen some pretty impressive achievements, I want to shout out to some of my previous guests who over the last couple months have been hitting milestones of their own.

Back in Season 5,In April I spoke to Jade Francine from WeMaintain and Deborah Fritz from MYRE about the French Proptech scene. Congrats to WeMaintain on your recent series B raise! WeMaintain has transformed the regulated maintenance market, initially supplying elevator and escalator solutions. Jade will be joining LMRE for an update on the French Proptech market with our Head of Europe Dilan, so make sure to look out for that later this year to hear about the growth, challenges and trends in France.

Also in season 5, I spoke to Cem Savas from Plentific about how property management can be made simple. Huge congratulations to Plentific on their Series C raise of £73m.

For those who aren’t familiar with Plentific, Plentific works with landlords to transform how they deliver repairs and maintenance services.

Looking back at season 4 in February, I had the chance to speak with CEO and Co-Founder of Flyhomes Tushar Garg.

We discussed how Flyhomes has reinvented the way we can buy a home. It was really interesting to hear the behind the scenes of the product and how Tushar has built the company.

Now a shoutout to the Rise Buildings Team who have recently been acquired by VTS.

I interviewed Charlie Wade from VTS back in January and also had Prasan Kale from Rise buildings on in March. I had no idea the acquisition was going on but its Super exciting to see two great products and teams coming together! Both brilliant episodes if i say so myself, so if you missed them, go check them out!

Now throwing it back to season 2 which aired a full year ago! Can you believe it! I spoke to Mike Sroka of Dealpath and John Fitzpatrick of Blackstone about deals and investments within PropTech. I learnt so much from my conversation with them both and have thoroughly enjoyed watching Dealpath grow and Blackstone do further investments in this space to follow on from Dealpath with companies such as VTS, Aquicore and many many more.

There is lots to enjoy from the last 6 seasons, but let me get you excited for season 7, I have a great line up including Tyler and Maxwell from Saltbox, who teach me all there is to know about smart warehouses.

I also have Brad from Common joining me to chat about co living - will it be the new way of living?
