We all have a tendency to romanticize the past--whether it was actually good or bad, beautiful or ugly--we remember it with rose-tinted glasses. Is romanticism then a healthy coping mechanism to make us happier in our lives?
On the other hand, our romantic ideas of things often don't match reality. So is it dangerous, or do we forfeit control over our lives when we romanticize?
