Brooklyn Tea Talk Throwback looks at Brooklyn's social work in the community of Toronto. In the video above, WorldWide Entertainment TV was on site with Global news to cover the "Enough Is Enough" street march against gun violence in the city.
Participants at the event included the organization DevelopMe Youth which created the event along with sponsorship from Zero Gun Violence Movement. The March received mainstream press from Global news as it created awareness to the growing problem in the 6ix. Brooklyn Tea Talk was exclusively interviewed with Global news about the day and more.
Politician and lawyer, Knia Singh, was a special guest who spoke to onlookers about the stats, people, and plans he has to help the violence erupting in the city.
DevelopMe Youth works to solve the issues plaguing the community. With the assistance of experienced groups such as SistersKeepers, Zero Gun Violence, EMSC, and urban media outlets such as WorldWide Entertainment TV to reach the at risk youth.
Enough Is Enough Peace Rally organized by DevelopMe Youth is by youth for youth. The elders of the community are doing the best they could, but they need the help and the involvement from youth, in trying to regulate and reduce this predicament happening in our communities.
This is where this Peace Rally comes in, as it allows the youth to now take a stand up and let their voices be heard, for as many times they are the voiceless in change due to lack of empowerment to make changes in their environment.
