Manage episode 334968238 series 2921944
Why is it so crucial for highly paid athletes to understand their finances early in their careers?
Kevin Stewart joins us on Taking Care of Business this week with Paul Cheetham-Karcz as they discuss how footballers often struggle to cope with their finances once their professional careers come to an end. Kevin speaks on why he decided early on in his career that he had to think about his future and how he didn't want to move on to coaching as many other athletes do.
They go on to discuss what it was like for Kevin to play with some of his childhood heroes, such as Steven Gerrard, starting his own podcast, and what motivates him to make sure he will be financially secure for the future.
