Manage episode 408766519 series 3554274
We wrap up our celebration of Women's History Month by honoring the most prolific American female filmmaker in history, Dorothy Arzner.
In this episode, we highlight some of Arzner's industry-shaking contributions to cinema. We also deep-dive into three of her films: the 1931 pre-code drama Working Girls, the Joan Crawford film The Bride Wore Red, and the classic feminist film Dance, Girl, Dance, which stars Maureen O'Hara and Lucille Ball.
