In the 2010s, Universal Studios was developing an MCU-style ecosystem of action movies, rebooting their Universal Classic Monsters films. But after the first film's failure, the entire franchise was scrapped.
In DARK UNIVERSE PART I, we unearth the movie that first financial and critical failure to put DARK UNIVERSE into an early grave: THE MUMMY (2017), starring Tom Cruise.
