The Harvest Is Worth It.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” - Galatians 6:9
Everyone gets tired. Many of us are tired right now, not just physically, but deep down in our souls. It tempting for us to throw our hands up and walk away. It’s tempting for us to give up.
In these moments we have to encourage ourselves. We remind ourselves that tilling the soil is hard, but the harvest is worth it. Planting the seed is hard, but the harvest is worth it. Tending the crops is hard, but the harvest is worth it.
Sometimes we have to endure the hot sun, but the harvest is worth it. Sometimes we have to carry the water but the harvest is worth it.
Sometimes there is drought, and pestilence. Sometimes we have to plow the whole thing under and start again, but the harvest is worth it.
Don’t quit. Don’t give up. Start again if you must. In due season we shall reap. And the harvest is worth it.
