A Shot of Soca: Ep14 - Are you looking after your metal health?
It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 15th - 21st May. With the increase in mental health issues amongst the Caribbean diaspora, in particular young black men we thought it was important to have a conversation about this issue. We sat down with Dr. Yansie Rolston and Alex Holmes and spoke about our personal struggles with our mental health and the changes we’ve seen in how collectively we have the discussion regarding mental health and the actual changes that are happening in the system to support people from the Caribbean diaspora.
In our own way, so of course there is a large shot of soca.
