Can’t stop, won’t stop. Bad boy for life. Were we being fed a message all along and eating it up unknowingly from the hip-hop conglomerate Bad Bau Entertainment CEO? One can say a name is just a name. But is there intent behind a name, or does one make decisions to live up to the name?
However you choose to slice it, Sean Puff Daddy Puffy PDiddy Diddy Brother Love Combs is simmering in some hot water. Allegations of rape, sex trafficking, drug abuse and domestic violence swirling can damage the reputation of anyone regardless of you fame or fortune. And when the a cursed opts to settle out of court, speculation is inevitable and leaves your perceived innocence on the stake of the court of public opinion. Who will ever really know the truth? Other than those involved of course.
The current allegations against the music mogul has been the precursor to more allegations to come against others like Jimmy Iovine, Jamie Foxx, and NYC Mayor Eric Adams, to name a few. If you think this looks familiar to headlines a few years ago, you’re right. Some may refer to the current swirling accusations as the “Me Too, Wave 2”.
Regardless of what label is placed on the accused, some wait with bated breath to see what the outcome will be. For Mr. Combs, the financial payout to Ms. Casandra Ventura May seem to be admission of guilt while others can view it as a sellout on behalf of Ms. Ventura. Only time will truly tell what the lasting impact will be. But what we all can hope for is justice for all those deserving.
