Wah gwaan? Sounds like music to the ears. That is if your ears enjoy the home of reggae music and Bob Marley as much as ours. Jamaica is indeed one of our favorite vacation places. After four visits, and God willing many more to come, Jamaica has a special place in our hearts.
Since 2001, we’ve been on vacations up and down the east coast. From the Outer Banks, Topsail Island, Fort Lauderdale, Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, and our least favorite, Tybee Island, we’ve enjoyed the coastline of the eastern shoot the US for over 20 years. When freedom was obtained and we were finally able to leave the continental US, Jamaica wasn’t our first stop. Puerto Rico was in the midst of the Pandemic. However, shortly after, Jamaica became our first international destination.
Since our first visit in March 2021 until our fourth now three years later, each visit had only gotten better. The sun, the people, the beach, the ocean and the food. Yes, definitely the food! Let’s not also forget Jamaica is home to some of the best cannabis. Ya mon!
After experiencing a health emergency in January 2023, this was indeed the relaxation needed. Not just a physical getaway, but rehabilitation of mind and spirit. Above all, we are truly grateful to be able to enjoy any moments together. Experiencing those moments in Jamaica is just the cherry on top.
