Featuring packaging by Grammy Award-nominated artist Perry Shall, the 2xLP set includes a gatefold photo collage with rare photos of Gilbert with family and friends, a heartfelt and funny historical account of Gilbert from long-time friend Penn Jillette, and a vinyl side etched with original artwork sketched by Gilbert, himself. Gilbert had long resisted releasing an album of original material because he thought people wouldn't see his live shows if they could listen at home. His wife, Dara Gottfried, and the curation team at Clown Jewels came together to hand-pick the greatest bits from footage captured by filmmaker Neil Berkeley for his 2017 documentary Gilbert.. Gilbert Gottfried passed on April 12, 2022, from ventricular tachycardia caused by Myotonic Dystrophy Type 2.
