Luke 1:5–23, 57–66

Verse of the Week: “You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth” Luke 1:14

1. Live in community
“One day Zacharias was serving God in the Temple, for his division of priests were on duty that week.” Luke 1:8
“when Elizabeth’s neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had been very kind to her, they shared her joy.” Luke 1:58

2. Live your purpose
“while Zacharias was performing his priestly service before God…according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense.”

“‘Father, glorify Your name.’ Then a voice came out of heaven: ‘I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.’” John 1:28

3. Live in awe
“Zacharias was shaken and overwhelmed” Luke 1:12
“when Zacharias came out, he was unable to speak to them; and the people realized that he had seen a vision in the temple” Luke 1:22
