Waiting on the Leon Draisaitl extension, Olympics, and the long weekend

Better Lait Than Never

The best part of Wednesday is checking your favourite podcast app and seeing a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never waiting for you. The good news is that I'm back with a fresh podcast to massage your eardrums and give you a few laughs along the way.

I started off this week's podcast with a dose of my usual nonsense. From getting into the Olympics to the stress of picking an NFL team to back, the best part of the off-season is filling my day with nonsense and shenanigans. If there's one thing I love more than anything, it's wasting everyone's time with nonsense and tomfoolery, and that's basically what the first 10 minutes of today's show were.

Turning the podcast to the Oilers, I had to start with the Royal Wedding from this past weekend and how we still haven't seen much of anything in terms of news or pictures. One can assume they probably sold the rights to take photos to some magazine or something, but you'd have to imagine how many folks are patiently waiting for a glimpse into the McDavid wedding. Speaking of waiting, I then offered my take on the Leon Draisaitl contract extension and how it doesn't really matter when he signs the thing provided that it gets done.

Lastly, I wrapped up this week's show with an RSB about robocalls and how annoying they are, given that there are seemingly endless iterations rolling in on a daily basis. I then wrapped up the podcast with another round of voicemails that were all over the map again, especially with the news cycle being as slow as it is right now. The good news is that slow news weeks mean the voicemails get a whole lot weirder, which is always fun from my side of the microphone. Oh, and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
