Bomphcast is proud to welcome Italian producer and label co-owner Evod (Evod Music/Float Records/Singular Records) to Melbourne's techno podcast series. Alessandro Russo has had the taste for techno music since the ripe old age of 11 years old. Like many artists, it was the sounds of Detroit that captured his attention. Having produced and played under a range of aliases, Alessandro settled on his definitive project, Evod. Evod's sound is best described as sonorous, meaning "capable of producing a deep or ringing sound". His fast-paced mix is a reflection for this, as well as showing the spirit of Detroit in his groove-based track selections. This style of sound has given rise to Evod Music, a label that Alessandro runs with friend and fellow producer Alessio Politano (Oisel). The label "believes in simplicity, purity and efficacy of sounds and ideas. Few elements can give life to a unique process, a flux that can expand itself and come alive".
