Today we discuss Juneteenth and the history behind the celebration, including the truth about the Emancipation Proclamation and Abraham Lincoln, the civil war and the Black Codes, and how the 13th Amendment is what really ended slavery. We talk about what happened after slavery and the Black Codes, and how the Black Codes parallel the War on Drugs and Mass Incarceration today. We also discuss the latest in the Freddie Gray trials, with two of the involved officers suing prosecutor Marilyn Mosby for defamation, and the significance and impact that this development will have going forward.
