Tropical Storm Debby is forecast to make a second U.S. landfall as a tropical storm in South Carolina around Thursday. A record-breaking and historic flooding event is expected along the coast of South Carolina, including in Charleston where between 20 and 30 inches of rain could fall. The storm is expected to linger in the Carolinas for days. The flash flooding threat from Debby extends across both North Carolina and South Carolina. Cities as far inland as Augusta, Columbia, Raleigh, and Durham could even see flash flooding from this storm.
