Episode 43: "The Frank's Grill Effect"
Manage episode 374701320 series 3369277
In the restaurant business, location is everything. Location is even more important when your restaurant is dominating among several nearby competitors. "The Frank's Grill Effect" is a phenomenon that occurs when one restaurant (or business in general) is the busiest among several other competing restaurants within very close proximity to each other (we coined this term based off of the successful performance of Frank's Grill on Westheimer in Houston and how busy they get in comparison to other restaurants nearby). Chef Michael Brown, owner of Jamburritos, joins us to discuss why some restaurants outperform their competitors with location as the primary factor.
