Continuing our Dollar Tree Movie Find series with High Rise (2016). A Tom Hiddleston film about the residents of a new apartment building in 70s Britain that descend into madness, violence, and class war after a prolonged power, and water, outage. Directed by Ben Wheatley (Kill List) and adapted from the J.G Ballard novel by Amy Jump (A Field in England) it is a brutal, bleak, and shocking film that's not afraid to make you uncomfortable or make the protagonist likeable. Join Wyndham Jennings as he discusses the highs, and lows, of this dystopian film and whether it's worth the dollar he paid for it.
Warning: The film contains a scene of sexual assault, and several scenes of animals being killed, so this movie is not for everyone.
