Shawnee Penkacik and Carrie Reichartz are the hosts of the Christian Rocketeers podcast. They have recently relaunched the podcast and are excited to share their new direction. The mission of the podcast is to help those who are thinking about starting a nonprofit but are scared and don't think they have the money, time, or ability to do so. Carrie shares that God spoke to her when she was opening Mercy's Light Family, a maternity home in Kenya, and told her to write out her journey for others. She was in the process of writing a book about the work she was doing and then realized it was actually about helping others start nonprofits. The podcast is the result of God's guidance, and they hope to provide encouragement to those who are hesitant to start a nonprofit or are struggling in the journey. Shawnee and Carrie have been praying for the launch of their new Christian Rocketeer podcast. They opened the podcast by reading from Luke 10:2, which talks about Jesus sending out workers into the harvest. The speaker details how she had a dream about wheat which she believes was God leading her to start Christian Rocketeers to help others with funding and so much more. The podcast is meant to help people who are on their own nonprofit journey but have not been able to get the traction or funding they need to get to the next level. They emphasized that by taking small steps and having faith, great things can grow.
