The vaccine has been a disputed and politicised issue, and to our belief this could have been avoided with better communication, better relationships with medicine and decolonised frameworks of healthcare. This episode discusses the need for informed consent to become more prevalent in healthcare. Informed consent means 'permission granted in full knowledge of the possible consequences, typically that which is given by a patient to a doctor for treatment with knowledge of the possible risks and benefits.' This episode discusses the failures of the current system in relation to past ignorances and why there are lags in healthcare treatment.
