Second CityVision Podcast features 2023 successes, Fayetteville Strategic Plan, and the ‘Awkward Trio’

The Fayetteville Strategic Plan and 2023 successes take center stage in the second episode of the CityVision Podcast along with a visit from the self-described “Awkward Trio.” This new episode and February’s debut episode are available for listening on the City’s website, www.fayetteville-ga.gov/podcast.

City Manager Ray Gibson and Assistant City Manager Alan Jones joined Host Michael Stuart to talk about the City’s recent successes, which ranged from the Fayetteville Fire Department achieving a Level Two ISO rating to the Fayetteville Police Department earning state and national accreditation. They also discussed the many great events hosted by the City in 2023 as well as the increased emphasis on City employee training, development, and retention. They capped the discussion with an overview of the Fayetteville Strategic Plan, including a brief discussion of the future development of 38 acres adjacent to Fayetteville City Hall & City Center Park.

The second CityVision Podcast concludes with a visit from Awkward Brewing owners Amanda and Andrew Poliak along with manager Harry Stanley. Stuart and the Awkward Trio discuss the brewery’s origins in Washington, its establishment in Fayetteville, and its interaction within the City’s Historic Downtown District.

Published monthly, Fayetteville’s CityVision Podcast is hosted and edited by radio industry veteran Michael Stuart and produced by City of Fayetteville staff. Episodes and show notes are available at www.fayetteville-ga.gov/podcast.
