William J. Federer is a nationally known speaker, historian, author, and president of Amerisearch, Inc. He's the speaker on The American Minute daily broadcast. He has authored numerous books including, America's God and Country Encyclopedia of Quotations, Who is the King in America?, Socialism: The Real History From Plato to the Present - How the Deep State Capitalizes on Crises to Consolidate Control. On this broadcast William goes through several examples throughout history to explain to listeners the importance of not being silent, not just as it pertains to elections, but to sin in general.Perhaps you're not aware that in early America, you had churches establishing cities where everyone was involved in the church and city government. Baptists were responsible for the founding of Providence, Rhode Island, while Hartford, Connecticut, was founded by the First Congregationalist Church in America. In other words, you had cities with a covenant form of government as the founders of such cities were looking back to ancient Israel and their first 400 years of existence after leaving Egypt. He went on to note how even our Constitution was modeled after a covenant government from New England for the same reason.William also pointed to Numbers chapter 30, the silence-equals-consent chapter in the Bible. For example, if a daughter binds herself with a vow while living in her father's house in her youth, and her father hears her vow and holds his peace, then all her vows shall stand. However, if her father overrules her on the day he hears, then none of her vows shall stand and the Lord will release her.
