Prudence Pearly is a go-getting, no-nonsese reporter with a nose for news -- but she's forced to write human interest fluff pieces instead of substantive political stories! After sneaking a big scoop into the paper, she and her friend, typesetter Barney Melchic, have been exiled to Montana to review that most horrifying of all occurrences: a community Shakespeare production! Along the way she'll run into an old friend, some new enemies, and the mysterious Masked Phantom!
