DLG314_Comedian Christian Finnegan's childhood was not funny...
Manage episode 347974871 series 3338619
Christian made a repeat visit to RFB so we could talk about his family history, which is pretty complex. You can see how it does make sense that he's a comedian though—a sharp sense of humor is a testament to his survival skills! His younger brother was born when Christian was 8 and his older brother was 10. His younger brother was born with a serious heart ailment which by necessity became the focus of his parents. His mother had Borderline Personality Disorder and was super dramatic. Let's just say this was hard on his dad too. His parents split up. Christian father enrolled Christian into a boarding school for performing arts when he reached high school age which set him free—well somewhat. This is an inspiring story of a resilient young man who became a successful comedian with a fantastic marriage in spite of a dramatically difficult beginning.

I listen to new music. I’m perpetually chasing that new car smell. I spend hours every week scrolling through various New Release sections and indiscriminately clicking play. Results are inconsistent, but that’s okay—it’s primarily an avoidance mechanism! But as a result, I always have at least one new song to love.
