Have you stopped asking? "I know you’ve asked God for something before. Maybe you got a clear no, or maybe a yes, but I think there’s many people here today that would admit that maybe you stopped asking because it didn’t seem like God was going to answer. So have you stopped asking God for the things you want or need?" If we’re honest, I think all of us would love to have a more powerful prayer life. Whether you are a seasoned saint, a fresh follower of Jesus, or unsure about what you believe, I think all of us would like to have a powerful prayer life but I think the problem is that we want that, but then overcomplicate prayer and misunderstand prayer, and then just stop praying. What would it look like to just keep asking? 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
