President-elect Donald Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be secretary of Health and Human Services. Trump said Kennedy would protect Americans from the harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have led to the country’s current health crisis.

Lawmakers voiced concerns over Trump’s nomination of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) as attorney general. Senators on the Judiciary Committee called for the release of the House Ethics Committee’s investigation of Gaetz.

The satirical news publication “The Onion” won the bidding for Alex Jones’s Infowars at a bankruptcy auction, backed by families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims. Jones vowed to challenge both the sale and the auction process in court.

Florida sued FEMA officials for alleged conspiracy to discriminate against hurricane victims who support Trump. According to whistleblower reports, FEMA workers in parts of Florida were directed to ignore houses with Trump signs or flags.
