The path to contentment is clearly blazed, Paul says, but the world places the signs all backwards. Thinking gain IS godliness, we follow our natural desires and feed unhealthy cravings. If we could do things our way… if we only had more money… if we had more obedient children… then we'd be content. It's always just one more and never enough.
God's word tells us it’s exactly the other way around.
