Fisherman Jack catches a tiny golden fish that pleads for its freedom, promising to return when it grows bigger. The fish argues that Jack will have a better meal later if he lets it go now. Jack thinks about the promise but decides not to risk it. He gently explains that a small fish in hand today is better than waiting for a bigger one that might never come.
