Katie Boland Reminds Us 'We're All in This Together' - NBFF Interview

Having screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival and making its way to Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, Katie Boland reminds us that 'We're All in This Together' as she writes, directs and stars in this heartfelt film about mental health.

Inspired by the novel of the same title by fellow Canadian author, Amy Jones, 'We're All in This Together' follows the misadventures of the the Parker family, who's mother Kate somehow survives going over a waterfall in a barrel (yes, that was taken straight from the novel).

Boland had enjoyed the novel so much and once realizing that her and Ms. Jones shared the same literary agent, decided to contact the author in order to adapt her novel into a full length feature film, of which Boland plays twin sisters Finn and Nicki.

We also spoke with Boland about her mother, a retired professional photographer who was an executive producer of the film, her father Kevin, who has an incredible affinity for Kentucky Fried Chicken and her bother Michael, who composed the music with his writing partner for 'We're All in This Together.'

Dealing with themes of trauma, mental illness and unexpected redemption, We're All In This Together is a never-before-seen story with a tour de force performance with Boland at the heart of the film.
