Returning guest Dawn Candy talks about the success that her business, I Promote You, has achieved over the past two years. She attributes much of her success to bringing on the right people – employees who align perfectly with the values and foundation of the business, and they also possess a solid work ethic. Finding employees who are the right fit can be challenging, but when you do find someone who fits, work to keep them.
Additionally, Dawn has been working on the business, not in the business. To be a successful entrepreneur we must learn to work on the vision and long-term plans for the business, versus the day to day operations. The day to day can eventually suck the life out of us. Rather, we need to be inspired to grow and prosper, best done when the focus is big picture.
“Do it afraid” is Dawn’s go to phrase for inspiration and motivation. If we aren’t out of our comfort zone, we aren’t growing. We constantly must challenge ourselves to move forward, sometimes that requires us to do it afraid. Listen to this episode for wisdom and guidance from one of the best, Dawn Candy.
