According to Merriam-Webster, a game changer is a newly introduced element of or factor that changes an existing situation or activity in a significant way. In other words, it is someone or something that has changed their environment, and potentially our world. When I think of my leadership absolutes – those qualities and characteristics of a true and effective leader, game changers fit that. They have become leaders because they positively influenced others.
During the course of our lives we have, undoubtedly, come across someone who has changed our game. Some who has had such a profound impact on us that we alter our course of direction. We may have changed a job, a relationship, where we live, or what we believe. No matter the change, it was initiated by the impact this one person had on us.
In this episode, Jeff discusses why he changed the podcast name to “Game Changers with Jeff Newkirk.” It makes perfect sense, since the previous guests on the podcast have all been game changers. They have all made a difference in their lives, someone else’s life, and their community.
