In this episode, I discuss how the Sharing and Gig Economy will change the fast food market. Major trends like delivery are forcing traditional fast food restaurants to eliminate storefronts and focus on automation, robotics and cloud-based kitchens. Just as fast food chains start embracing these technologies, delivery aggregators are starting to backward integrate and build their own cloud-kitchens. Utilimately, I argue that all this change will end with everyone hosting a home food replicator (i.e., Star Trek).
