The Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek likes to tell a joke about a customer in a cafe who asks for coffee without milk. The owner replies that they've run out of milk, but they can have a coffee without cream. The games industry uses a similar idea, selling the absence of something back to the consumer. Alex P (he/him) and Astrid (they/them) join Samantha (she/her) to talk about "No Crunch" as the bare minimum acceptable way to create games and not a celebration, along with a list of bad industry practices that developers can use as a marketing victory for their lack of inclusion.
