With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to talk about giving thanks. However, I'm not talking about being grateful for what you have, I'm talking about the importance of thank you notes.
This is a very simple tool, but a very powerful one if it is used correctly. When you get a referral from a preferred vendor or a past client, it is so important to hand-write a thank you note to them. It's a really heartfelt way of showing your appreciation, and people are always impressed by this.
I get about 10 referrals per week, so I buy multiple different note cards in order to make each one feel customized and special. I even buy special stamps to add to the uniqueness of each note.
I prepare them all together at the beginning of the week so that I can send them out quickly and easily. It doesn't take a lot of time, and it's worth every second.
This is an easy way to show thanks while also adding extra people to your database.
