Some states, such as California, have a reputation for strict business regulations to protect workers’ rights, as workplace technology develops, these can be misused and prompts proactive rules. Illinois is a close second in employee protection regulations, where the state’s Biometric Information Privacy Act is coming back on employers and racking millions of dollars in class action lawsuits. In this episode, we dive into the rise of BIPA, GIPA, and other laws that could have exponential consequences on businesses in Illinois, California, and other states.
