First half, Mar sits down with her friend Ladell who she saw Akie Bermiss with, at Wild Birds. Ladell felt Akie hit his soul and appreciates sci-fi themed tunes. Marleah recalls being raised on Jazzercise and All My Children, and loves a cover that’s better than the original. Second half, for another How Was It For You? segment, Marleah is with David Pattillo of Strange Majik, who she saw at Culture Lab on September 19. We recap the set, and also hear about background on the band, how ideas float down from the ether, that time David played for Kimye, and lo-fi highs.
