Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Russ Lee wasn't raised in a Christian home. In fact, by the time he was 17, he was already dealing drugs. But he knew there was something more and he was missing out. One night, with his drugs still in the trunk of his car, he attended a church service that changed his life. That began a path that would take him to fronting one of the most iconic CCM groups, Newsong, as well as embarking on his own solo career. This week, we talk to Russ about his life, faith and the choices he made along the way, which included leaving Newsong, and then coming back years later.
