Today on the podcast, we continue a series on a manuscript by Dr. Steve Swartz, titled A Biblical Examination of Divorce for Abandonment and Abuse. We believe this is going to be an important book in the life of the church and our prayer is that it will strengthen marriages.
This episode is a deep dive into Paul's teaching on abandonment and divorce - 1 Corinthians 7:15. The author argues, and we agree, that this passage constitutes proverbial wisdom literature rather than gospel imperatives that the Apostle writes elsewhere.
